Hilar cholangiocarcinoma, which accounts for around 2/3 of biliary malignancy, is a challenging condition to treat.  Although the majority of patients present with advanced disease, the minority are potentially candidates for surgical resection.  This presentation focuses on the work of patients with hillier cholangiocarcinoma with consideration of undergoing surgical resection.
